Im hoping to start compiling a master list of Stephen King's Easter Eggs. What an Easter Egg is, in Mr King's case, is an intentional reference, theme, or recurring theme that signifies something greater than the story itself. Its one of Stephen King's attributes that I admire the most because a story is no longer a linear "Once Upon a Time.... " over to "..and they lived happily ever after" because there are extra dimensions and tangents that tie it to other stories in a much larger creative universe.

I usually look for Easter Eggs in Mr King's books passively, as I have done here, so I may have missed many. If you find any in Bag of Bones , please post them here:

Walter Oobleck keeps coming back...or going, and going, and going

    • Tad Beaumont...competition for Mike...Tad's Steel Machine kept him/Mike from going higher on the Times list...w/his second book, The Red-Shirt Man...Tad from The Dark Half
    • Ralph Roberts shares a booth w/Mike at a little restaurant three doors down from the Rite Aide...Ralph from Insomnia
    • Mike's on the phone w/Bill, wants to get back to his story...'bout Andy Drake, John Shackleford, and S's childhood friend, the awful Ray Garraty...and his name is peppered throughout the story. Isn't Ray a young man in The Long Walk?

    • characters in wheelchairs
    • ponds...the idea of forces...cables/connections...a town consciousness
    • was it called The Black Spot in this one, too...like in It?
