Who or what are some of your favorite book villains?

I'd say Randall Flagg, but Jame Gumb from "The Silence of the Lambs" would be a close runner up, Buffalo bill is just so creepy yet entertaining to watch, his style of speech, his interactions with Precious the Poodle, he is one great villain.

I'm a big Leland Gaunt fan. Flagg is pretty good, too. ;)
Faints pretty cool, what makes Needful Things so great is how it's layered, slowly getting more and more chaotic. Like Pet Sematary it repeats itself in ways (i.e. Two people think the other pulled a prank on them and therefore get pissed off at each other), causing more and more chaos each time. I think Gaunt's real evil shines in how he emotionally corrodes Brian Rusk, that was such a sad chapter.
