Baked this one with my youngest the day before my birthday...
(sort of a) Funny story with this one... I spent my birthday cleaning out my Nana's flat with mum and dad, my aunt, and my cousin... they made a bit of a birthday lunch including this cake they'd bought earlier... so, even though some of this has been eaten, it largely looked like it does now when they put it in front of me.... because my mum fell into the gutter with it when she climbed out of the car!
Apparently by the time my aunt got to her side to help her up, mum was roaring with laughter... which is a huge relief because she is only a few months out from having had open heart surgery... she also landed on her recently healed (ish, she needs further surgery on it) broken wrist.
That woman aged me by another 5 or more years today!
