I'd like MrsSmeej's poems better if she were a Manning fan.
Is it just me who thinks there should be a "Manning Over-saturation" version of the NFL? Peyton has - obviously - achieved a massive milestone, is great at what he does, and seems, in interviews, like a genuinely lovely and down-to-earth guy. I do not want to take ANYTHING from his achievement. I just think that the media coverage of it was a bit much - in the UK, the presenters went on and on and on about it before, during and after he hit the touchdown record, in my experience. I'm left thinking, "I like the guy! He's both brilliant and humble! He's great, and he deserves his greatness! But I don't need to be reminded of this for ALL of EVERY game." To me, it seemed like the coverage was taking away from the achievement rather than celebrating it. And to me, that shouldn't be.
The Over-Saturation Version would be like:
"BEEEEEEEEP put in a solid performance for the Broncos, while BEEEEEEEP managed to lead the Giants to victory." And relevant people would be pixelated LoL. Again, Peyton deserves every bit of credit, but the media coverage risks alienating people. Just me sharing my thoughts on that; I hope I made my meaning clear
