My parents were the same after 50 years together - my Dad was lost without my Mom....say what you like, but couples who have spent so many years together and are as devoted to one another as the Bush’s were-that bond of love morphs into an almost physical connection....and when one reaches the clearing, the other succumbs to the pull and soon cleaves to their missing half....I hope for the President, a peaceful and joy filled reunion....

Well he did have Alzheimer's so he did not die right away but just basically wasted away unfortunately.Wow. I like it when couples go,together

...exquisite and eloquent...One of the sweetest things I ever read was this letter George wrote to his mother after Barbara and he lost their daughter Robin to leukemia.
