Four past midnight strange cover

I just purchased a hardcover of four past midnight. it's the design with the gargoyle on the clock but this version has no title of the book on the front or spine, just Stephen king on both front and spine. It doesn't have the usual gold coloured four past midnight printed on it.

    Anyone know why?

Welcome to the MB! I have not seen that version. If there's a story about it, someone here will know :)

Maybe that dust jacket got stuck to another one and missed part of the printing process.

Looks like this dust jacket didn't make it through the foil embosser that was used for the other jackets. It's an oddity.

Yes, it's a publishing error. I have an Anne Rice book like that.

Thanks guys, was quite puzzled when I saw it and had to buy it, haven't seen any others like this online. I'm almost at the end of collecting all Stephen king novels and collections etc.

Now you can start in on the limited editions (if you haven't already) ;)

I have that edition but with the title. Yours looks like it could be a collector's item!

Howdy SSnacks! Yes. That is a special 'ticket' cover, much like the Willie Wonka 'Gold Ticket'. You can redeem this for a home cooked meal at the King residence. I read about this on the 'Snapchat'.

Just check its not a BCA or GP edition. Theyre book clubs and put out cheaper editions, often smaller. That's what edition mine is.
