Yep, my three oldest read him. I think my oldest started with
IT when he was about 13, DD#1 started with
Salem's Lot when she was about the same age, and DD#2 started with
Eyes of the Dragon when she was 11 or so. LilMan is just 8, so he's almost to
Eyes age--give him a year or two. I love seeing which books they choose as favorites: oldest currently picks
Under the Dome (which I found difficult--then again, he likes alien stories & I yawn at them
), #1 wavers between
Salem's Lot and
Dolores Claiborne, and #3 is stuck on
Eyes (though
IT comes a close second!).
Mr. King and his thoughts and opinions are tossed about here like he was a favorite uncle--lol. "Stephen King said…" is a common phrase
and his opinion bears weight: if not for his rec, "The Hunger Games" (amongst other books) might not have gotten a read, and that would be a loss (even if the last book was a clinker).
