My husband asked for the 7-season box set for Christmas, which I got him. We binged it over the holidays. We don't have HBO so I don't know how we'll see season 8 but we do have plenty of time to figure it out....

I've read the books so knew what to expect but still hard to watch.
Oh, yeah, I know. I had too. If I remember correctly season 4 and 5 are where it really starts to divert from the books. Just go with it and it works!

Indeed. I'd told my SO that there was one more season after this but he must have forgotten as he thought this was the end. We may have to watch it all over again once the last one airs.
