CYB, I wanted to say this yesterday.I am happy to return to this board and report all is well! Praise the Lord (or who or whatever you believe in): my husband's nephew is OK!
I spent an agonizing day at work not hearing anything from them and when I got home at about 5pm, my husband was on the phone with his brother laughing and talking about something silly. I immediately knew all was well. Turns out it's probably just kidney stones and they are waiting to see if they pass. Seems like the doctor who originally said "ulcer or cancer" wildly misspoke... to say the least!
I just want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers, positive vibes, words of wisdom, etc. Please know you are all in my prayers tonight and I am praying for something positive and wonderful to happen in your lives! Thanks again!!!
Now it's time to have dinner and relax. Thank God!
Thanks DJ. I also was thinking along those lines too but did not want to get my hopes up too much.CYB, I wanted to say this yesterday.
I worked for a doctor who used to drive me absolutely insane. I would be typing along, someone had come in with a splinter or something equally just everyday stuff -- like an ulcer. And by the time he was done speaking, he had them having cancer! I would get so mad at him because he was covering his bases, but telling the family this horrible extreme to cover his ass.
He did it every single time. Oh, you have a sore throat? Could be throat cancer! You stubbed your toe and it may be broken, or it could be bone cancer!
So, the doctor sounds like one of those type of guys. Not saying he is a bad doctor, they just throw that extreme thing out there.
I'm sorry it's kidney stones, I've heard those really hurt! But so thankful for you all that it was not that big C.
Praise the Lord and pass the lithotripsy!I am happy to return to this board and report all is well! Praise the Lord (or who or whatever you believe in): my husband's nephew is OK!

Wonderful, wonderful news! Your family so deserved that--not that kidney stones are something to wish on anyone, but considering what you've all been through recently a relief nonetheless.I am happy to return to this board and report all is well! Poor sweetie! Continued healing vibes her way. (((Kat)))Please send some more healing vibes for Kat.
She has been to the doctor 3 times in the last 2 weeks.
They tested her today to see if she has the flu. She doesn't thank goodness.
Her throat is worse, and she keeps having fevers. Mostly at night.
She is balking at taking her medicine now because she has been taking it for 2 weeks. Karen has a time getting it into her. They gave her a stronger antibiotic today, that she only takes once a day.
She has not been to school since Monday, and there is no school all of next week. That is good. Maybe she will get all better by the time she goes back to school.
I feel so bad for her.
Wow, her poor little body has to be exhausted. I hope this new antibiotic kicks the crud in the butt! Please send some more healing vibes for Kat.
