Has your google images changed? One used to be able to select an image, view the image, and copy /paste. The view image ( to obtain a link) is not there. Instead it has "saved".

Are you talking about getting the image to post elsewhere? I find I must click on the image in Google Images. It takes me to another website which displays the image. I then right click the mouse on the image and select "Open Image In New Tab." You get the image and the graphic link is located in the browser on the new tab. I copy the web link in the browser and past it elsewhere.

I think I've always had problems with copy and paste. I always save images to my photo album and then upload the file here.
Not good at explaining, this morning I was able to go to google images, pick an image- click on it- and a page would give me the image and off to the right was : view page/ view image. I would click on view image and the top bar would provide the https link. Back to SKMB and I would paste it into the post using the "image" symbol. This afternoon- the view image is gone , instead is save-- which brings me to a "saved google images page". I am unable to paste a link in a post. Maybe it is my computer?
Try this. Google image (and you get a page of thumbnails) - click image (and you get the image by itself) - right click image and select copy image location - paste that into the image box
Google must work differently for you than it does for me. I've never gotten any kind of message off to the right of the image I'm looking at
I'm still confused... and not much help lol. When you click on an image, doesn't the web addy for that image appear in your browsers search thingy?

I've never seen the process you mentioned but it may be browser related. Different internet browsers may work differently with images and videos.
Either my computer updated something, or the way it views google images changed. Never had an issue before. Thank you again.
I had a big operating system update yesterday. You never know what those updates are going to do.
You cant choose "WAtch this Image" anymore

That is the problem I experienced. Using Fljoe's suggestion is a way around it. Just click in the image.

...yep, ran into the same scenario and immediately threw up in mouth!...what?????, I can't get my idiotic images anymore??.....the humanity!!!....then, I simply right clicked on the image and hit copy, and it pasted just fine....now where's the mouthwash???....
Google Germany doesn`t make it.
I always have to Visit the Site, where the Image is stored, like Pinterst.
And then i have to Log In
