I like Zardoz, too. Sometimes critics are too demanding, imho. I haven't seen Nught of the Comet, and Lifeforce is way too distracting for me to know if I like it.

I didn't care much for Castaway the first time, though I loved the crash sequence and always will. The second time around I was totally captivated by Hanks.
Sleeping with the Enemy is a good thriller, imho.
I haven't seen Bill and Ted and don't know if it's one the critics pan, but My Cousin Vinny is well thought of. It's one of my faves anyway.
I'm pretty much the same about old Burt. The original Smokey is plain great, imho, especially Gleason.

That's the one with Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn, yes? Saw it at the theater when it first came out. I like it.
I doubt I'll watch a Rocky sequel. I love the original but just aren't a big Rocky fan otherwise. I like Stallone in Copland and Get Carter.
No. Ellen Burstyn not in it. THat's Same Time, Next Year which is also amazing.
Four Seasons has Alan Alda, Carol Burnett, Rita Morena, Sandy Dennis, Len CAriou (Sheriff from Secret Window), Jack Weston, Bess Armstrong
Based on what I've seen of him so far, I assume Jude Law is excellent in everything he does. He's amazing in the remake of Sleuth.
Oh okay, then I'm thinking of Same Time Next Year. Yes, The Four Seasons is real good.
I didn't care for Signs first run through, but liked it second time. That's possibly due to my liking Gibson and Phoenix a lot.

I'm a movie fan in general ... and usually if the critics don't like something I know I probably will...
That's sometimes true for me, too. I prefer to listen to regular Joe's than professional critics, with the exception of Roger Ebert whose wavelength I seemed to be on.
My guilty pleasure movie is probably "Dirty Dancing". It's the cheesiest.

My guilty pleasure is waiting until the house is empty, then locking the door. In my secret compartment under the tv is stored all my mistakes, all my bad buys- like Eragon, golden compass, 6th day , big momma - you get the idea , things that don't get displayed . But underneath them is one little joy I keep for viewing behind locked doors with a box of hankies ...
