The Theremin( a musical instrument) was born on this day. Its inventor was a Russian by the name of Leon Theremin. It is the only musical instrument that can be played without touching it. The Beach Boy's used it on 'Good Vibrations' and it was also used in Science Fiction movies including 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'.
