Today is the first day of fall. I like fall and its colors. I just am not a fan of what comes afterwards.

Autumn is for walks in the leaves, grilling out in a picnic area, sweaters, maple coffee, and applejacks: a good bourbon and apple cider on the rocks.
It's overcast and the temps are in the mid teens Celsius
Tomorrow it's sunny and creeps into the mid 20's. WTF!

Autumn is beginnings and endings and makes me very introspective. I always go deeper into my thoughts this time of year.
Fall is the season of the pumpkin....Pumpkin pie, pumpkin pie blizzard AKA Dairy Queen, pumpkin lattes. .The list is long.
Pumpkin ice cream. Beats pumpkin pie all to hell.
There is also another food to celebrate fall...Count Chocola, Boo Berry and Frankenberry are back!!

I think that was a typo--"as food a day as any..." but it fits so well in with the rest that I'm tempted to leave it.
Going back to cooking my favorite cold weather comfort foods is about the only thing I like about fall.

Yep, my computer has a tendency to decide that it knows what I meant to say better than I do, and I have no idea how to turn that function off. Works for me anyway--fall food is my favorite! Last night we had slow cooked chicken and noodles, today a tart (or maybe a rustic pie)… stews, pumpkin bread, baked apples, fresh doughnuts… all coming up.Oh HELL yes! Havew you tried Blue Moon's seasonal pumpkin beer? Redd makes a really good fall apple beer, tooPumpkin ale.........
