Does anyone here wear hats? What styles do you like? I can never find any hats that fit me well. When I was a teenager I wore ball caps but that's it. Wait, that sounds like I was naked except for a hat. Heh. You guys know what I mean.

I like fedoras and panamas. I think GNTLGNT or robertgray would look good in a panama. I can see Scratch in those wool flat caps like you see in Newsies. Those are cool, too.
Here's the panama:

What do you ladies and gents wear? Got any stories? If you have a comment, my hats off to you.

(Sorry if this is a repeated subject.)

Being a good Catholic girl, way way back in my youth, hats- or covering of ones head was a must at Sunday Mass. Think typical 1950/ early 1960- ladies hats. Now a days , when mowing, I wear one of these----

I like hats

They say some people can wear them and others cannot. (I mean - with style or look good in a hat).

What Spidey says about the Catholic tradition of women wearing a head covering in church brought back some memories.

Have you heard the expression that someone is a "hat person"?

Huh? Why did my link come up as "Terms of Service Violation" :umm::umm::umm:

I wish I could find a style that suits me. I like the red flannel hunter cap, makes me think of Salinger. What's the cap that Sherlock Holmes wore? A deerstalker? LOL.
Nah, maybe I will settle for a nice wool toboggan this winter to cover this possum pate. :)

Do you mean a toque (pronounced "tooooook" like kook)

toque
tōk/
noun
noun: toque; plural noun: toques
  1. a woman's small hat, typically having a narrow, closely turned-up brim.
    • historical
a small cap or bonnet having a narrow brim or no brim.
    • Canadian
a close-fitting knitted hat, often with a tassel or pom-pom on the crown.
    • a tall white hat with a full pouched crown, worn by chefs.
Origin

Up in Canada a toboggan is a thing you sit on and slide down a snowy hill on (it's long and made of wood).

Yeah, we call them toboggans. I think we have another name for it but I can't think of it.
