Old, I mean, old time collector here (like from the Internet's beginning in the 1990's). Just thought I'd give a shout out to any old time collectors on here and a "well, hello there!" to any and all "youngster" on these forums.
Let's see...We got started collecting Stephen King's works, etc., when my husband found a 1st edition of The Shining in a used bookstore for a few bucks. Shortly afterward, we discovered the SKIN newsletter, then SKEMERS. And Beahm, Spignesi, Overlook Connection, Camelot Books--the list goes on. We made some great friends along the way, got to meet King on several occasions, contributed to many King-related projects, ran a King website, wrote about King's works for an e-zine, and spent a ton of money on our addiction. You know how it is. It starts out with first editions, then moved on to limited editions, 1st appearances in magazines, 1st appearances in anthologies, etc. Eventually, it became "ooh, I gotta have that!" LOL
Now, I just think back to those days and smile.
Well, guess that's all for now.
Disturbing dreams,
RM
