Hello there guys--
I've been reading Stephen King's novels since I was a nine-year-old fantasy addict. My mom let me read Eyes of the Dragon when she finished it. Fantasy is still my favorite genre--I'm always up for a new breed of elf or an interesting conception of magic--but horror and fantasy are old dance partners that can meld like moonlight and shadow. Stephen King steps back and forth across that melded line (or strums it, writhes it, trails it like a tripwire, dragging it right through here and now just as easily as through elsewhere and when), and I keep coming back, over the years, to watch the show.
It's rare for me to join a forum, but some questions have popped up for me as I've been experiencing his work in audiobook form. Mostly I've been able to get satisfactory answers from some online research, but a few questions keep kicking around. This looks like a place to knock questions about and get something interesting to break loose.
So here I am! Thanks for having me.
