Me too… back in the eighties! We got a set of Funk and Wagnall (sp?) Encyclopedias at the grocery store each week.
So did we!...hell, we got a set of dishes at the local gas station...build the set with each fill-up...
Thanks guys. I don't do anything around the house. My daughter won't let me.
Frank, I know the feeling well of not being able to get comfortable. I can't sleep on my back either. I feel like I can't breathe right on my back. I can't sleep on my stomach either like the doctor wants me to. I do get on my left side as far as I can to get it to drain. He said that in a few days it should stop draining.
I go back to him in 4 weeks, then I go to the other surgeon that did the robotic surgery, then I go to my family doctor. Man, am I tired of going to doctors.
...one of my favorite toys as a kid was the plastic brontosaurus I got at the local Sinclair station...
Hope all is well with Katalyna - my oldest has febrile seizures - she outgrew the tendency - I was too scared to take her for a spinal (which is what they wanted to do).My incision is all scabby now, and itchy! I can't scratch it, and it's driving me nuts!
I was supposed to go to my family doctor yesterday, but had to reschedule once again, Katalyna is sick, and running a fever. Karen is on her way with her to John Hopkins for tests to see why she had that seizure. Poor baby.
Me too. Though I will tell you , a friend of mine had one recently and she said it wasn't any worse than getting an epidural - which to me didn't hurt -BUT when you're in the horrific pain of labor, a little needle in your spinal fluid is nothing. But it is just a fluid tap - not a bone marrow thing.I sure hope they don't want to do that to the baby!
...some hydrocortisone maybe?....Thanks, nurse! I lotion it down, but maybe I'm not using the right one.
'It puts the lotion on and places it in the basket......'...use some hypo-allergenic lotion, that'll ease the itch...incision's closed, so it won't hurt anything...
or else they get the hose again.'It puts the lotion on and places it in the basket......'
Oh, DJ! You get my award for 1st gut buster of my day!! Thank you!! I was hoping someone would get the 'Lambs' reference!or else they get the hose again.
