Do they put them in an actual (sturdy) cardboard box? Do they put bubble wrap or other soft, protective material around them? Do they arrive in a good state?
Thanks.
Thanks.

For the few books I have ordered from them: yes, yes & yes.Do they put them in an actual (sturdy) cardboard box? Do they put bubble wrap or other soft, protective material around them? Do they arrive in a good state?
Thanks.
At one time books were either bubble wrapped, or placed on a sheet of cardboard with plastic over it. The exterior Mailing box was sealed well. However, of late, the books are arriving unwrapped, allowing movement of the book during transit and an exterior box with corner exposed to elements. This may not be the case for all distribution centers.Do they put them in an actual (sturdy) cardboard box? Do they put bubble wrap or other soft, protective material around them? I think I answered too soon. I've only ever ordered books that come from the Amazon warehouse. As for the independent sellers on Amazon, who knows? It would have to be a case by case judgment.
I'm a preferred customer. Rather than potentially having my book marred they read it to me over the phone. Saves shipping costs!
Sometimes my books from them arrive this way, but the last two arrived in the upsize box with no wrapping and only a single air pillow on top. The corners of the dust jacket were crumpled as a result of the book sliding around the box during shipping. I was so disappointed.Usually in a box one size up and shrink-wrapped with plastic onto a piece of cardboard. If safety is what you're after, I have never received a book from them that was not pristine.
Lately, the books I've ordered from there have just been tossed in a box and flung out the door..
