I have actually done that ^ before. I prefer the old-school ritual method, though.

It is very calming (in a Zen-like way) to achieve mise en place at a natural pace.

Damned Food Network and all their new competition shows. Food is about communing, not competing. They are going the wrong way. They kinda ruined my favorite channel with the over-the-top OCD shows.

We won't see cherry tomatoes until late August...September...but that idea is a winner! Now if someone has an idea of how to take the skins off (for salsa) easily I'm listening. We...I dunno what you call it...poach them? Boil in water for a few and the skins peel off...no easy way it seems.
