4 days international would be awesome. In the states we're told for a priority international is usually 6-10 business days. They neglect to state that is time through customs. Then add on travel time to destination country. I've had packages take as long at 34 days! I think the best I did was a first class card to NZ at 10 days.

Thanks Spidey, I agree postal rules and regulations are really getting to be a pain. Why don't the mail service providers be honest and admit that any item that cannot be sorted by machine you will be charged a premium for. Here in the UK, prices go up and the service gets less reliable. It appears that if it's not business mail, ie. a nice financially lucrative bulk contract, then it will be delivered when they get round to it!
The Oz parcels are meant to be there in 4 days, I'll let you know when they're delivered.

The parcels were delivered yesterday morning, (Wed 13th) having been posted on Thursday 7th at noon, so not too bad as they managed it in 6 days. They arrived intact, hurray! (Topsy turvy coz' there now down under.)

I'm angry today because the keypad on my touch phone keeps disappearing when I try to use it. My Tall Guy can use it, no problem. I try to make a call on his phone because mine's acting wonky, the keypad disappears. He uses it, and it's fine.

I read this in my paper this morning. Creigh Deeds’ son had mental-health evaluation Monday - Richmond Times-Dispatch: Government And Politics

Apparently the son of the senatory in VA, who stabbed is father, then shot and killed himself was taken in for an emergency mental health eval on Monday, then released at 6:30pm because "there were no beds available". 13 hours later he was dead. What if he hadn't lived in such a rural area and decided to stop by the local school or movie theater instead. I am just so angry and sick about this!

We need to change it from "no child left behind" to "no pysch patient turned away"!
