They missed it! Unca's too quick for 'em.Yes...(with Peter Straub) in parentheses like that.
I've just never had the desire to read it. No knock on it, and who knows, someday I might pick it up. But thus far, I have no interest in picking in up.Why are you not interested, though, unless you are assuming something about the book? The point I made above - and in a number of threads in which I've posted concerning the question of whether or not to read a certain sK title - is that there's no way of knowing whether or not any book, but especially sK's, will interest you unless you at least start reading it.
But…but…but…look who wrote it!!!I've just never had the desire to read it. No knock on it, and who knows, someday I might pick it up. But thus far, I have no interest in picking in up.
I don't hate you, but no doubt you'll burn in Koontzian hell for insinuating Mr. King could be boring.

Actually, I feel a bit less interested in a book that sK only co-authors.I've just never had the desire to read it. No knock on it, and who knows, someday I might pick it up. But thus far, I have no interest in picking in up.

I'm biased, because I'm a Red Sox fan, but I loved it. King and his co-author started this book assuming the Sox would do what they always used to do, fall short of a World Series title. But wouldn't you know it? The King magic kicked in, and the year he writes a Sox book, the Sox win the title. The journey through the season is really entertaining, but I think King, like a lot of Sox fans, didn't know how to react when they finally won it. I haven't read this since just after it came out, but I sort of remember the end being sort of anti-climactic. Both authors were too stunned to properly sum up their feelings. Sometimes feelings are too powerful for the written word to describe. I do think it's safe to say this is unlike anything else he's written.
As a side note, sometimes on TV you'll see King sitting in the stands at Fenway watching the Sox. He usually has a book, and reads between innings. THAT is a dedicated reader.
I love this movie.
So KFF - do you have any other 'confessions' to make? (Since the title of this thread is "I have a confession to make"I love this movie.

Gasp! Get off of this board IMMEDIATELY!!!I'm coming clean. I have to admit it. Here goes: I've never read this book. It's the only King book I don't own. I fear I will be bored stiff...don't hate me.
Gasp! Get off of this board IMMEDIATELY!!!
I own a good number of his books (hand-me-downs, mostly), but have read few of them! I think 5-9 or thereabouts.
