I remember when one of my daughters was really worrying what would happen when her tortoise died. I told her we'd have a lovely funeral, bury it in a little grave with a beautiful cross on it. We'd have a big party with lots to drink, sweets and ice cream, and she could invite all her friends round. She said "Can we kill it now Dad?"
