It never occured to me until I saw the version Jud in the new movie, but what if Jud killed Church? It was an enivatablity that the cat was going to get nailed with the truck at some point, but what if Jud was so desperate to get back to the burial ground that he sped things along?

......well, look back at we discussed in "Guardians of the path",
i still think Jud was compelled to take advantage of the opportunity.
that spot of road (so close to burial ground) was notorious for pet deaths........Jud didnt kill all those animals.

I'd like to think the burial ground messed with him rather than he was a willing particapant.

The power of the burial ground could make people do a lot of bad things. I don't want to think Judd killed Church but now that it occured to me it makes certain sense. it allow explains why Church might have wanted some pay back.
