This book forever holds a place in my heart and was my introduction to the world of novels, I had only read maybe 2 novels my entire life for summer reading for school, I had purchased 2 or 3 king books but never got passed like 20 pages and just never got into novels and reading for pleasure and then for whatever reason I stuck with this book and when it ended and they did that recap about how you were riding on the hawks back or whatever it was I really don't remember after all these years, something like that, but when they wrote that and how the story gave me that sense of reminiscence I was amazed at how fulfilling that was and have been reading king ever since and there's only a few of his books that I haven't read at this point but yeah this book will forever be my intro to the amazing imagination of writers and their work

I loved the Black House. That's the book I was reading by candlelight one night when the radio came blasting on at 3 in the morning! I will Never forget that! I didn't catch the part where it was a sequel to the Talisman, til some years later, which I had not read, so , it was an awesome standalone book as well to anyone who never knew.
