In all realness I will have an empty spot in my heart if he has retired from book tours and I never have a chance to get an autographed book. Because for me he is a living legend. It is just unfortunate I paid more attention to the books then the authors when I was growing up because if I had realized all of these different stories were from the same person maybe it would have sparked me to act sooner. But I have only been able to realize his importance in my mental growth just recently. I can't say oh this one teacher really made me think about things after there lecture or whatever. But I can say that about his books. Granted it is most likely due to the ages a read them but who cares. I know if I had not by chance picked up hearts in atlantis my reading mind would not have been sparked. It could have been left stunted like my math mind. It is both sad and funny that I can say Stephen King was the best creative teacher I had without ever having to hear him speak.
He's totally unique among celebrities and other humans.

I've asked that you try to speak English, please. I now ask that you try not to be very cryptic.

There is no way I could ask just one question to SK. There is so much I want to know... but it's not 'where do you get your ideas?' or anything like that. In fact, I wouldn't ask him about any of his work. I have read his work and I guess I understand it because I keep reading it... lol My mind goes to those places and I like it.
I guess, after really thinking on this , the one question I would ask is :
" If you could ask us ( SK Constant Readers) one question... What would you want to know?"

hey my thought pattern goes faster then my writing skills and then I will write an entire paragraph re read it and be like no that is not what I mean at all over and over until finally my brain overloads and doesn't compute so then I just right the easiest thing that comes to mind that explains nothing so I can get off the subject.

on a different note

So now I am traveling down the rabbit hole of stephen king you tubes thanks to someones suggestion. There is one of him talking about how he read Lord of the flies when he was thirteen and how he just read it and it was all the mattered for days and basically that was exactly what I was explaining when I first posted on here. I mean it was exactly like that for me I could not have explained it better myself. But Lord of the flies only planted the read seed for me. Stephen king books made the literary side of my brain explode into the creative side where it formed this special bond that won't shut up and leave me be.

I will tell you one thing I think that the way he explains the writing process in those videos answers my first question entirely. It is somewhat comforting to find out that it is a little normal to have the stuff want to come pouring out of your head all at once. I will probably have to actually read "on writing" book and find out if it will teach me or guide me into fixing the part of my brain that makes the creative take over.

I've met him and I can tell you that it is something really cool. He puts you at ease and if I were him, I'd want you to get the hell on! Hahaha . . .

I'd ask how he feels. I know his leg bothers him and I vide for him on that often. I hope it doesn't hurt much. I have scoliosis, so I know what such pain feels like. There are good days and then there are days when you move around like a crippled being. You try to act like 'it's all good' but it ain't and it doesn't hurt because you are used to it but really, it hurts like a mother-****er!

I think the analyst in me would stand off to the side for awhile hopefully within hearing distance of the different interactions
with those he is signing books for. That would tell me more about him than I could ever have time to ask during the short
time it takes to sign a book. Then, I would get in line and have him sign my first edition of Salem's Lot, the book that started
it all for me. Might ask him to sign the current book too that he is there to sign. Then thank him and move on.

I will be honest with you if it was a book signing I probably wouldn't say anything at all. In fact thanks to stupid you tube and the fact that Stephen king has been answering questions since before I was born I don't think there is anything left unsaid. Its kind of a buzz kill. WHY COULD I HAVE NOT BEEN BORN EARLIER. BUT hey whatever at least he explains writing in a way where I was like wow to bad he wasn't my high school teacher I might be in college right now. I used to read like mad man but then that just died away when the real world hit. And although I kept music through out my childhood and adult hood creativity and imaginations is just so much bigger when you have literature too.

I wasn't thinking " Book Signing" .. I was replying strictly to " If you could asking Steve one question, what would it be" . If it was a book signing... I would ask " Would you sign ALL my SK books?" hahahahahahahaha

I would like to ask him if he ever gets emotional, maybe misty or even sheds a tear, when a resourceful, brave, good person, one of the the protaganists of a story,dies..or is he so intent on the details and playing out the storyline that he just continues on to finis without really dwelling on it much..
