My mother loved making these for all of her sisters one Christmas, back when I was around 10. Creeped the heck out of me. Pickled people - you take nylon stuffing, wrap a square of panty hose around it to make a head and then stitch the faces, stuffed them in jars and viola : Pickled people. She was actually good at making them look like family members.

Nothing dirty. I got a fake severed arm, complete with white shirt sleeve and realistic man hand at the end, at a "bad taste" party that I went to. (I believe it was the cleanest prize that night, what with the penis tie and animated humping couple and all that.)

I had a great time with it, hanging it out of the trunk, from the closet, from under the couch, the desk, and so on....... I only WISH I'd snapped a picture or two of it.
