Well, let us not get carried away either. I understand your point and there is no right or wrong here. The discussion is for another place and time. Thanks for the small shootout though, cowboy to cowgirl.

IMO no problem having a little fun with the characterization and romanticism over the golden age of buccaneering. Food for though, During the Revolutionary war, the Continental Congress and some state governments issued privateering licenses, authorizing "legal piracy" in an effort to do battle and take prizes from the British Navy and Loyalist privateers. About 55,000 American seamen served aboard the "privateers" (the politically correct name given to pirates). And pirate Jean Lafitte was used by the US during the War of 1812. So to detest a little innocent flattery of pirating is to detest adulation of the United States?
At least he's whittling......and not polishingMakes me laugh when the Cap hobbles on deck and whittles his stump. I reckon a man needs a hobby with the likes of these bilge rats.

If ye'd learn to stick to rum instead of grog, ye'd not need to beg for the cure quite so often.....Shiver me timbers and pass the grog..........yo ho ho.

Well blow me down........does ye not know of the ole hornpipe?
“Hornpipe”~ Both a musical instrument or a dance that sailors do.
So many places I could take this one.......none of them appropriate for public viewing......
But to answer your question.....yes, I know.....just making sure you do!
