Only one week left and my job in the gas station end. I still haven't heard from the new owners. Oh man I really
start to get nervous here now. It might be possible that I loose my job.

I understand that you do not want to upset the new owners by coming right out and asking, but do you think it is fair of them to keep you waiting this long?

Good for you to send out some feelers regarding a new job - better to be proactive than to just wait for the 'axe to fall' - sorry - I hope these English expressions are understandable to you!

Jojo, just talk to them. The time they have left is down to one week for them to make a decision. I think they've already made their decision and it it NOT fair to you for them to wait this long.

It has become standard practice here in the States, that at a decent time after an interview the interviewee should contact the interviewer by phone or drop a note asking if a decision has been made. My last workday is tomorrow. I called one of the new owner yesterday and he said to me that they don't have any job for me in
the gas station. So I have to go and search for other jobs. Then to the good news if we can call them good news. I was and asked for
job in our other local gas station and they said to me that they not have anything for me yet, but promised to call me if they need me.
Today when I came home from work, one from this other gas station called me and wanted to see me tomorrow morning before I
go to work. Yay, this might mean that they want me to work for them. I also called my uncle and asked about the mail job and he said
that he also might have something for me. So it seems that I don't become unemployed. But let's see what happen.......

Sure wasn't very nice of the new owners to wait until the last possible moment to tell you. I am sorry you have been through all this, but just remember everything happens for a reason and I know you will come out the other side of this better and stronger!
