Hi all
Well I must be a Stephen King fan. My Chemo starts on "Friday 13 November !!!"
I'll be getting a port inserted next week then the chemo the following week, I get a pump for 2 days which I come home then go back to the hospital on the Sunday to get the pump removed.
For the next month I have about 6 appointments at the hospital but will be glad to get it started.
Will keep you all updated.

Best of luck. Stay strong and positive. My last chemo was yesterday and it wasn't an easy experience overall. Just keep thinking positive thoughts. That and support of those around you will get you through this - speaking from personal experience. Feel free to reach out if you need anything.

Hi all
I go and see my Oncologist on 22 October then I will start chemo. I'm just trying to sort out my finances at the moment. Lots of people have said it might be best to have 6 months off work as I may get quite sick. I am going to apply for Sickness Benefits, trying to sort that out now.
I'm feeling a lot better and have a bit more energy now.
Thanks again everyone for your support.
Best of luck and I hope the chemo works - praying for you that you will go into remission :burn_joss_stick:

Hi all
I was at the hospital for about 3 hours , I had 2 infusions there then had the pump put on my port which will come off tomorrow. My side effects so far have been that I can't eat or drink cold stuff as my throat gets really sore and you feel like you can't breathe ( not good on a 38 degree day). The other is that I've been very tired and had no energy today. I've still been eating well which is good.
My 4th cycle will be on Christmas Eve so I will have the pump on for Christmas day !!! I had a feeling that would happen. The family are having a breakfast this year for Christmas so at least it will be hot food.
Thanks again for all of your kind words.
