Toward the end of Black House, Jack says that he thought that Roland of Gilead was the last Gunslinger. How in the world does Jack even know about Roland or Gunslingers?? The Territories were not part of that world, and I have never read any mention of any crossover between Jack and Roland's stories.
Can anyone explain how Jack would know about Roland? I have never been able to figure this out. Am I missing a piece of the story? A story i missed, did i just miss it in a book? I need to know.

It isn't Jack who says this -- it's Queen Sophie who says this during a discussion with Parkus.
