Loved the movie.
One of the few movies that is just about as good as the book, I won't say it's better than - nothing is better than mama's home cooking, but it definitely comes a lot closer than anything I've ever seen. Very creepy and so unique. It definitely stays with you.
Welcome Harmony. I agree with you about 1408. One of the film adaptations that worked so well.
Just don't watch it if you're in an altered state.......just saying. This movie really freaked me out when I had partaken of the LEGAL (in my state, anyway) pharma.
Oh my gosh, felt like I was just there on New Year's Eve. Just kidding... still, the wallpaper was weird. Incredible story and one of my favorites.
Love this film - I find Cusack really watchable anyway, there is a creepy atmosphere throughout, and the scares are the kind of 'trippy scary' that reminded me of the feel of the book. I really liked the whole 'it was just a dream' sequence in the middle - brutal but really effective!
I think it was one of the best film adaptations.
I agree! This is one movie that creeps me out to no end. I have no idea why it is so scary to me. Only one other movie in my life has ever creeped me out worse than 1408... and although people will laugh over this... "Trilogy of Terror"... the African Zuni doll one starring the famous Karen Black.
Yes, that episode with the doll is very scary, especially when you see it as a child when it was first aired on television. Don't know how it got past the censors radar but it did and it warped a lot of kids. Hehehe.....
....so THAT'S what happened to me!...
just bought a Polaris ranger Side-by-side....3k. not too shabby,500hrs. on it.
Ayuh! You and lots of us.
