Just finished 11/22/63. Had a strange experience (for me). Like Jake I'm not given to tears. Can't really remember the last time I cried. Did this morning. Not sure why. Maybe because the story was over. More likely out of gratitude for the gift I'd received of so many hours of pure joy and interest. Thank you Stephen. Do you realize how much you've given to the world?

....glad to have you join us, and even as empathetic as King seems to be-I don't think he'll ever grasp the magnitude of love and joy his works have brought about....

Lots of us here have felt the same way after finishing one of King's novels. He makes the characters come alive for us and we end up caring for/about and loving them. I can't count the times I've had leaking eyes while either reading one of his books/stories or finishing one. Welcome!

It's truly incredible how "real" something can feel to someone that it can move them to these emotions; I felt the same way!

I so love your comment. And good for you to cry--it's important. It cleanses our soul and helps us heal even things we don't know that need to be healed.

Welcome, also!

Christine basically changed my life, or I should say solidified a major life choice I was on the fence about, I was thinking of moving out of my moms basement, but was not shure, but I read Christine and something in the book made it clear to me that I needed to move on, and be my own person and adult. So I worked hard and payed of about 10,000 in personal debt and am k ow working towards saving to move out. And hopefully will be able to do so, in September if this year. It was a combination of Arnie and his mom. Some passage king wrote about his mom controlling him or something that made me realize this. This was also my first Stephen king book
