Happy Taco Tuesday!
Last week of school for my kids. Except Evan, he finished last Friday. Finally sent out his announcements and reception invites yesterday. We are going to have his party the day after the ceremony. Still no word about having guests at the ceremony so I decided it would be easier to have the party the next day. Now I have to panic clean. I always freak out when people are coming to my house. I wish I could get over that.

Sundrop ! I forgot to mention a couple of squirts of agave syrup, or honey to sweeten!Okay, I've thought about it and I have got a suggestion for Sundrop 's "Meteor $#!7" cocktail
Using Out of Order 's gourd juice and DiO'Bolic 's Rain Vodka.
Chayote (merlitons, they're good for you) and cucumber agua fresca.
Yes, both are members of the gourd family.
With a little bit of McCormicks neon blue food coloring added. And the Vodka. Plus, the juice of one lime, perhaps.
Thought about using Curacao, but the orange flavor would get in the way of the cool mild flavor of the squash and cuck's.
And blue Curacao has food coloring added to it anyway, so to heck with that.
Chayote and Cucumber aqua fresca is easy,
Take a few of each, peel and seed the cucumbers, throw in a blender with some flavorless sparkling water and blend up.
If you want you can strain it, or not.
The color is a pale green that will make a nice blue with some food coloring put into it.
Chayote is a versatile vegetable, and has the texture of something like a cross between a cucumber and a squash. It's nice chilled and diced, added to a pico de Gallo, or roasted, stewed, fried etc.
Something, me and my Mexican and Mexican-American friends and neighbors do, is to puree chilled very cold watermelon in a blender, and add it (unstrained and with no water mixed with it) to Silver Tequila.
Store the Vodka and Tequila's in the FREEZER people!
If you want to have ice in your drinks, then take some of the chayote agua fresca and make ice cubes with it.
So the vodka doesn't get watered down too much if you're a slow drinker.
Just an idea for "Meteor $#!7" until you find something better that is really good, Sunshine.
And it would be nice to rim the glass with some coarse raw sugar.

Story for everyone, just because I guess. I was working with an American girl at my part-time job while I'm studying, she was about my age, or just graduated. I asked her where she was from, she said the, and I quote, "North-West of the United States." I thought this was odd, and asked her why she said that and not just a State name, she replied that most from the UK know nothing of US geography. I was determined to prove this wrong, so I asked her what state it was, she said Idaho, I went "Ah, that's where Seattle is, right?" Facepalm.
