Haha! Yup though he doesn't actually live there anymore. Don't worry, I'm not trying to prove myself as a number one fan or anything. I just genuinely love Maine and adore Bangor, in particular. We were looking all over the state for the right house and really just got lucky with this place.
Ah, I knew he stayed in Flordida during the winter, I had no idea that he no longer stayed at the house in Bangor, I remember something about how they were going to turn it into a writer's retreat or something?

I think it was the house next door to his in Bangor (he owns both) being turned into the retreat but I heard his current primary house is actually over in Oxford County (I'm being intentionally vague here).

OK, this will probably sound weird but i'm going out to meet a couple of friends this evening. Havent seen them since march, or maybe even february. Will be nice. My plan is, if we can find a place, to get a hamburger and a couple beers. Restaurants are open but they are only allowed a limited amount of guests and if they dont follow the guidelines will be shut down.
Have fun, be safe!

Hi everyone, popping in very fast. The cleaning crunch is on.

We get a graduation ceremony, yesterday we learned only 2 tickets per senior. So only Scott and I will be going to the ceremony. Party next day.

Been busy this last week, we planted flowers outside, lots of yardwork. I have done a few things inside. Yesterday we took a day trip to the mountains. Tons of snow still! Where we camped last year, it was still on the road and all over the terrain. I wanted to see a darn moose, they are out and about and everyone but me sees them. But still no moose sighting for me. Oh and we had a bear roaming around in town last week too. Lily, who hates being around the water hose outside and only barely tolerates her baths decided the lake was A-OK. Went right in and frolicked. :D

Have a great day. I really hope I will get to be around, seeing as we are winding down here. Everyone is helping me today so hopefully we can get a bunch of the big stuff knocked out and I can handle the rest.

Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:

Oh, and little Miss Sage had her tonsils out this morning. Doing well so far but if you would throw some good healing vibes her way, it would be much appreciated! :love_heart:
Hope Sage does okay and heals up soon.

Hi all! I posted in the playground but wanted to let folks who missed that know that Mr. Blue and I are under contract to buy a house in Bangor. Expected to close 7/17 (funny that it would have been King Kon) though my moving date has not yet been decided as we'll have work to do on both houses to get the new one ready to move in and the old one ready to sell. It is right on the Kenduskeag Stream though and the view is gorgeous! Looking forward to a whole new life! Of course, we need to get through inspection first so keep all those fingers and toes crossed for me! Also, for those of you in Maine (or close enough to travel), hit me up for direct contact info. We'll definitely be having a big shindig, once we're settled and it is safe to do so.

Congrats to you both!

Sounds like a great new adventure :encouragement::encouragement:

I recall a story about a kid who saved himself and his sister from a wild moose they stumbled across when walking home from school through the woods by using what he knew about moose and how to avoid them from World of Warcraft
I met a moose once when i took a quiet walk in the woods. Just slowly strolling, you know. I took a 90 degree turn in the road, or perhaps path is a better name, and there it was, just a few meters from my face. I could see the eyeballs clearly. And you might not believe but he actually looked surprised. Mooses dont have much of a facial expression but he definitely looked surprised. For a few moments we just stood there looking at one another then i slowly backed away thinking that perhaps it would be wisest to take that evening stroll somewhere else. When you get so close you really see how huge they are. If he had decided to charge i would have been dead meat but he was a peaceful moose.
