Yeah we survived...

Not like we had any side piece forum to fill our time with...:nope:
Well I am glad you brought that up - I was on The Weekend Playground and it was okay - I appreciated those who visited and contributed but somehow it just wasn't the same (unfortunately).

As time goes on and more people decide to look into it, it could become interesting. However without Marsha and her connection to Stephen King it can never be as good.

Guess that is something we have to accept (no offense osnafrank )

I hate to use the R word here (retire) - but what WILL happen when that inevitable day comes and Marsha is finally doing her crafts full time?

However, for a forum with only about 30 members it was okay - thanks to morgan and Doc Creed as well! You guys are great

(and of course Spideyman ) :cheerful:

The very first SKMB started out slow, it gathered members here ad there. The hours were limited to basically 8:30 to 4/ no nights, no weekends. No forums, no threads, no extra. It almost looked like an adding machine tape on the screen- posts and #'s- members name.

Today it is almost 20 years in existence. The Weekend Playground is in the baby stages. NO OTHER MB will ever be the SKMB, nor be able to compete with it. It is more than a MB.

Summer months have always been slow on the SKMB- family time, vacations, catch up on life. Thus, many SKMB members are busy and just able to drop into the Weekend Playground. As more follow the beam, membership will grow.

A special thankee to Frank for providing this "other level" of the Tower.

Well put spidey! As always, age and experience provide more insight :encouragement:

I think I was just "overthinking" it and not looking at the 'big picture'. Frank made morgan and me moderators so I was just going huh :umm: - NOW what do I do? :joyous:

I think the week end playground is a great idea and appreciate the time and work osnafrank has put into it. It takes time to build up the numbers as to people. Never thought of it as a replacement of the SKMB but rather as a safe, comfortable alternative when the SKMB is closed. I doubt very much anyone would even a attempt to replace the SKMB, that just isn't possible, it's in a league of its own. I feel lucky to have somewhere to go to on closed times of the SKMB, it's a nice alternative. (That's my speech for the day ;) )

You like us! You really like us!

Hope your health is improving - hang in there while awaiting the medical tests - hope the docs can give you some relief soon!

Happy Monday!

Been a special day for my country and especially for Helsinki when Trump and Putin met. I have watched news what's going on in our capital.

Been also a busy week since last Tuesday when Miikka (my boyfriend) and his two daughters came to my hometown on vacation. We have done so much fun
when I haven't been in work and they have try to do some fun when I have been in work. The kids loved spending time with me too, so I am maybe not so bad
reserve mom after all. ;) They stay until Thursday then they go back to Rovaniemi.

Here's been hot 26 Celsius to 28 Celsius and sunny every day. And the heat continue to end of this week. In the south they have had 31 Celsius. Fully
summer in Finland.

Star and I was and swim last week. Star loved to swim and be in the cool water. It's so hot for her now and for the dogs too. I try to take them and swim
as well.

Hope all had a great weekend and feel well too.

Stay safe in the heat and storm or whatever Mother Nature decide to give us. But now I am going to enjoy this summer it wont last long. :cool2:

As soon as it was warm enough, the top and doors came off.....don't plan on putting them back on until November. I really do kick myself for not getting one sooner.
No no no. Exposed legs, exposed noggins! Tanks boys. These are tanks. Y ou are supposed to stay all locked up tight -- snug as a bug in a motorized vehicle.
