Ooh! That reminds me..... while I was painting over the weekend, I discovered that I was missing a baseboard on one wall. I went to the hardware store and bought a polystyrene one and the shoe moulding to go with it. Cut it with a utility knife, and attached it with liquid nails. It's the best looking baseboard in the house!
I'm thinking I'm ready for a Dremel tool with some saw blade attachments!!
Thankfully no power tools were involved. Attached polystyrene with Liquid Nails? I assume you want it up forever and never plan on trying to remove it. Seriously, though… good job! :)

yay this makes me very happy......….. I am glad they are preserving it, and not going to sell it to some one else. and they also have the guest house next door ( the white house) if they need to stay or something. I am so happy...……perhaps we can finally get some pics inside the house

I doubt the city of Bangor would say no to anything the Kings requested.

The house is old....really old, and the wall had shrunk away from the floor. I filled the gap with backer rod, added a little caulk, and then the baseboard and shoe moulding. Yeah, I didn't want to risk it coming unglued, so I chose the liquid nails.
I'm going to visit the BF this weekend, and have him help me pick out a Dremel.....not even gonna mention it to mu uncle! :biggrin2:

You sound like quite the handy woman - could have used you around here lately - Andy fixed the ceiling in the tent trailer and at first I was concerned but it looks like he did a half decent job! (Will wonders never cease lol)

One question - if you use fiberglass ceiling tiles then paint over them will that seal in any stray fibers? I wouldn't want to breathe in fiberglass while sleeping in there.

DiO'Bolic - you could chime in here too if you want, since you seem to know a lot about building materials and supplies.

Thanks!

I honestly have no idea about the ceiling tiles. Most of my projects begin with a phone call to my uncle asking if he thinks I have sense enough to do this.
DiO will know for sure.

Today I will be starting a Tai Chi course level 1

A few years back I took a Tai Chi class but could not finish it due to shift work.
