Dear friends - time is running out - so much to do before Christmas. There was a beamquake in the family this year and we have a new normal - which comes down to more smaller gatherings to keep certain people within the family from having to be in the presence of others. It's fantastic - and I'm hopeful by next year everyone will have grown up enough to co-exist. Meanwhile - we're the peacekeepers and everything - the whole 3 day Christmas Pallooza - is happening at Chez Holly. Le sigh. I'm not likely to have a moment to get back here for days and days and days. I want to wish you all a wonderful Christmas, Happy New Year - peace, comfort, joy and good times with your family and friends. Stay warm, cozy and toasty if you can.

I'm off work for nearly 2 weeks - so that's awesome.

I have to go get my mammogram today. I swear the nurse told me not to wear deodorant - so I haven't any on. And I just read the guidelines - they say not to wear deodorant on your breasts before they get their photo  - nothing about not wearing it at all. So I'll be smelly. And does anyone wear deodorant on their breasts anyhow? I've never heard of such. Double le sigh.

After that, I've got to go shopping.

Be merry and bright!

Enjoy your time off! Best of luck with the tedious holiday gatherings!! :love_heart:

As for the girls, I have always been told not to wear deodorant at all the day of, so I don't. What I have found is that in the changing area, they usually have wipes for those people who forget, and I use one of those to freshen up before the pulling and twisting commences! Hope all goes well!

Oh, they always give me the wipes after I have it done to freshen up. They are deoderant wipes. (Or do they give you something different?)

Okay, this had me questioning and apparently they have wipes for those who may have used deoderant, oils, lotions, powders -- stuff like that to wipe off before mammogram.

And, they also have a deoderant wipe for after.

Good to know this.

At least it's winter chickee! No deodorant for a mammogram during the summer is the pits! (ah-huh, you see what I did there)
Have a great Christmas Holly-Polly, wishing you love, joy and peace... and especially, easy-going interactions with fractious family.
Take good care of yourself girl. xox

I sometimes wear deodorant on my breasts, makes my bra slide on easier....

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Holly!!!
:biggrin2:
I had an episode with my bra this morning. The underwire had broken and I got stabbed in the boob.
Bet you didn't realise that there is an international dance for the stabbed booby. Yes, there really is.

Underwires should be outlawed!

Right?!
For years I just wore sports bras, no wire. But then, babies and feeding, and time and gravity. The underwire had recently become my friend. Until today. When it turned on me and attacked. Unprovoked, I might add.
There has to be a better way. And while we're at it, what genius decided they should hook in the back?! Soooo much easier when they hook in front for a number of reasons. ;)

Yes! Even though I'm teeny compared to what I used to be, (not talking about boob size, though those have down-sized a little too  ) it's like my arms are becoming more and more tyrannosaurus rex as I get older. My fecking shoulder joints really get to b1tching when I have to reach back there to hook or unhook.

Even after having had the shoulder surgeries, I've pretty much given up on trying to fasten it that way and do the fasten, turn around and then put arms through the straps. Time to invest in more front closing styles. :)
