I had insomnia for so many years, I finally asked the doctor for help. He gave me a sleeping pills and they actually work despite my skepticism. I usually get at least six hours sleep.
Do you have a sleep schedule? I recently had to keep a sleep journal which I found interesting. It wasn't too bad during the week when I had a bit of a routine but I really blew it on the weekends.

I have occasionally taken half of a 1 mg tablet of Ativan but prefer not to resort to this; however if the sleeping pills are working well for you then that's great!

I take sleeping pills occasionally. Not to often but sometimes you just has to sleep!! My doctor has prescribed me two kinds Imovane and Propavan. They are a bit different. One is a falling asleep pill, the other staying asleep for 8 hour pill.

I've just recently tried meditation and this seems to help me when I have trouble falling asleep. Tomorrow I go on my course for two hours and the best part is at the end when we dim the lights, close the door and the instructor leads us in a group meditation.

Think I might have tried Imovane in the past but I remember waking up with side effects (like I had cotton batting in my ears) so eventually I stopped taking it.

If Imovane works for you then that's good - like you said - sometimes you just need to get to sleep so you can be more productive at work the next day :cheerful:

I hope all of you insomniacs get a peaceful night's sleep! I hope everyone gets a good night's sleep. We lost an hour, there's catching up to do.

You know what I did today? I bickered with my boss. I feel strangely elated by it
