So happy you and Josh are home safely! Your son is a handsome young man and everyone commented on his kindness. He must have a good mom! ;)
Only thing that I regret is that I missed this talk.
(We were busy ruining a perfectly nice walk.)
Then I felt too shy to just approach them at the Jade
Missed my opportunity because I was afraid.

Didn't want to interrupt the speakers and Ms. Mod;
After all I've read about them, I was slightly awed.
If there is a next time, hope I muster up the nerve
To deliver them the praise and thanks that they deserve.
:hammer:

But that tall good lookin' fella got to do his golfing (we have to keep our spouses happy, n'est ce pas?)

No, he doesn't have just a GOOD Mom. He has an amazing, outstanding Mom :smile:
Josh is such a sweetheart; he GAVE me his Kon shirt and rode shotgun in my car most of the time.
He sounds like an amazing young man. Hopefully I will get to meet all these people someday. Since reading all the Kong 2018 posts and seeing all the
pics, it makes me feel like I know them, a little, already.
He really was a total sweetheart. I didn't get much one on one time with him but all of my interactions were positive and he just had a very kind vibe (takes after his mom). :)

Wow you guys :m_award::m_loveu:

Thanks for the pictures everyone. I was reminded that doowopgirl was scheduled to come in from Ireland. I didn't see a mention of her or a picture.

Did she make it? Everything ok?
...she sure did!....we sat and talked baseball for a bit, then got back into things of King...she is a doll, and her spouse is a very kind gentleman...

I have a doowopgirl story. We were walking down the street in Bangor with Robert Gray and his wife Rachael and we saw Stu Tinker (the guy who does the SK tours).

John (Robert Gray) started saying hello to him, as did Rachael (he knows her from picking up people at the airport, where Rachael works).

There was a couple walking just behind him and I noticed a shirt that said "SKMB". I stopped and said it out loud. We looked at each other and I said "doowopgirl?" she said "Neesy?" and then it was hugging time. That was pretty neat. Her hair was a slightly different colour than her profile pic but I knew it was her when I heard her speak, as she does have a bit of an Irish accent.

doowopgirl and her hubby are continuing on with their vacation. I think they might be going to New York next.

That's such a cute story!

Yes, I remember her saying they were headed to NYC next so I'm sure she's just busy seeing all the shows I wish I could see. :)

The house next door, i.e. to the left of Stephen King's house when you're looking at it from the road, is for sale

Just kidding (not about the house being for sale, but if anyone would actually consider buying it).
It's a lovely house but the kitchen is disappointing.
