....lol!!!....no we took the Amish friendly Buick....though I did try to instigate a Mennonite/Amish turf war....So, we should probably warn the Amish about a large, loud Jeep blaring AC/DC thru their quiet counties?

...no kidding!!!....all seems well and thanks for checking...GNTLGNT
How is Seth's fiance feeling after that long drive? When those little munchkins relax on your bladder (or practise their kicking on your
bladder) it makes for lots of washroom stops.
Glad you arrived safely. Have a wonderful time. You and Josh will have to tell about the lobster Roll and the whoopie pies.So here we are in Bangor (Bang Gore) - I learned it's important to pronounce it correctly.
We stayed downtown at the Charles Inn for the first night in a room that was supposedly haunted. Robert Gray came to pick up today and we are spending two days here; the the final day (Sunday) we have booked the Stephen King room at the Charles Inn - from there it's a quick trip to the airport - we will depart around noon on Monday.
Josh and I have seen the Standpipe so far. We had brunch with John and Rachael (aka Robert Gray and wife) at Dysart's truck stop. Still have not had a lobster roll or whoopie pie yet but that will be coming~!
Looking forward to the cook out tonight - not sure what to bring just yet.
What a lovely city Bangor is~!
p.s. John has a gigantic movie theatre screen in his main living room and a selection of King movies to watch (wondering if I should ask to move in? ) lol
osnafrank - not sure if I can post to the Weekend Playground or not - I'm lucky I even have time to post this at the moment - it's a pretty fun filled weekend so far!
Will post more later if I get the chance.

We are safely home after a great time at the Kon.Well....ok Scott. But if I hear banjos I’m outta there........
Thankee Thankee big big. So happy you got to attend!!!!!We are safely home after a great time at the Kon.
Thought I'd try to share, with those who missed it, what went on.
Wasn't there for everything so hope the others will
Jump in with more details when they see a gap to fill.
Mr.S. and I arrived in Bangor Friday night
Drove to GNTLGNT's place - a left, left, left - then right.
(Thought we'd found the shortcut that was used by Mrs. Todd...
We did not hear banjo music playing, though. Thank God!)
Down a long and bumpy road that circled Pushwah Lake,
Just when we got worried that we'd missed it by mistake
Spotted red balloons (they were the perfect King Kon sign)
And we knew - unlike in Derry - they meant we'd be fine...
Hate to leave it hanging here but really have to go.
Promise that I'll tell you all about that party though;
After I unpack the car and hit the grocery store.
When I have a moment, I'll be back to tell you more.
I miss you guys already! I hope you are safely en route back to Canada. Tell Josh hello and thank him again for the thoughtful gift.Hey there - no pictures to share just yet.
We are still here at the Charles Inn in the King Suite which has lots of cool Stephen King related stuff in it.
There is a trap door in the ceiling that appeared to be slightly cracked last night. I kept checking it out to see if it had moved, as it was giving me the creeps
We had a great pizza from a wood fired oven next door last night for supper. I’m just working on my post cards at the moment then I’ll walk them over to the Post Office.
Happy Monday!
Poor Robert Gray - I called him at 7:42 this morning to try to get the number for the Bangor Airport since his wife is in Security. Westjet had phoned my cell at 7:15 which woke me up, saying they had important information about my flight then the call got dropped.
Turns out Westjet couldn’t help me as we’re flying with a companion airline (Delta).
Anyway - it’s all good - once I got through to Bangor Airport the nice woman there said our flight would leave on time.
By the way - big thanks to Stacy270 and misery chastain loves co. and of course GNTLGNT and Robert Gray - you made this trip so memorable for us all
