Cats!

So my (gunslinger) Jake is turning 13 years in a couple months and he's definitely leaning toward hanging up his guns [read: no bodies dropped at my feet lately] and so I thought I'd be a good, kind kitty mummy and buy him and his shadow Stanlee (who incidentally only shadows him because they can't stand each other and need to know where the other one is at all times because of the sudden... pounce factor) a new soft, fleecy doughnut-shaped pet bed.

Well shiit.... they have both avoided them like the plague, like literally social friggen distancing from them as though they were covered in COVID.
One of them even hissed at me when I tried to trick them into the bed with Temptations biscuits. (these are like kitty drugs, I swear)

Cats... sigh.

This is priceless!

Do the cats favor a certain person in the house? Or a certain blanket? Put one of your shirts in the bed with your stank all over it. Or a family blanket all flaked up. Maybe that will get them to use it.

I know how you feel though. I buy my cats toys every christmas. They hate them. Absolutely will not play with them. I've also bought beds they ignored, grass they won't eat, scratchy things they won't touch. Damn independent bastids!

Seriously, they are total jerks! I saw one of them actually play with a birthday 'mouse' yesterday... and I'm sure it was just to avoid the (elephant) bed in the room.
Snooty lil shyts.... :biggrin2:
(and speaking of a$$holes, I just let Mac dog out for a pee and he went all barky at the front gate, I HATE when he does this when I'm the only adult at home, it's the equivalent of the cat staring wide-eyed into the corner of the room when there is clearly 'nothing' there)

That is priceless. Could write volumes on the critters here. Bought cat toys- forget it. They love the brown packing paper that comes with the large feed order. And guess where I find all those bought toys? Under the paper! Hidden away. Out of sight.

Cat trees are the fav, not so much cat beds.

Oh, I so miss the bark of a dog!!
