I read my first Koontz book sometimes in the eighties, and felt it was a sort of "King lite". So I didn't waste my time further. However, I discovered audiobooks some ten years ago, and started to listen his Odd Thomas books, and was hooked. Now I think that he's in many respectives as entertaing a writer as Mr King in his prime.
