Has anyone read Shadowfires? I want to look for a copy. I remember the cover and the synopsis but that's about it. Still on the lookout for Jane Hawk series.

Did Tori delete her account? Couldn't tag her.
I have read Shadowfires and think it is one of his better books. It was one of five novels originally published under his non-de-plume 'Leigh Nichols'. They were all packages as somewhat romance novels, with lurid covers to go along with that but they are more thrillers than romance. Each of the 5 books featured a female lead character who must go through challenges and along the way meets a man to help her, so in a way they are romances but there's no bodice-ripping love scenes (although there are some love scenes sprinkled in). I'm sure that some of the females who purchased these books were shocked by the amount of violence and scares inside those pages. Highly recommend Shadowfires. If you like it, there are 4 more books he wrote under Leigh Nichols that you can enjoy. Twilight Eyes is another great book and like GNTLGNT said above- Koontz should write more about the characters he created for the original book.

Thanks for the info, KRF. I'm looking forward to this one. I'm in the mood for vintage Koontz.

I believe that all of the 'Leigh Nichols' books have been republished under his name. The ones to look for are the 'Brian Coffey' books. There are 5 of those and only three have been republished as 'Koontz' novels. They are all thrillers with no supernatural elements but are very entertaining. Koontz should just release them in their original form as an omnibus as the novels themselves are usually less than 200 pages each.
