Yeah, thank you for that. . . okay, Kyle Macglaughlin. . . I'll record it too. I just watched Jurassic World ( I thought it was cool when the book I was reading in the early nineties became a movie) and I don't know, is it me or do they not make them like they used to? I also watched Jaws for the bazillion and onthe time today. No complaints-zero.
Well, they certainly improved high-heeled shoes because she was able to run from all of those dino's while wearing them, without tripping or breaking an ankle! ;;D

That was absurd! No one can do that in heels.
Now I did enjoy the Fay Wray esque scene where she is under the T. rex. I did watch it a second time just to process how I felt about it. It wasn't as bad as all that. . .the red head is cute, the male lead is decent, the raptors are sweet, B.D.Wong is ever present, and Vincent DÓnofrio cracks me up.

You Can't Cheat An Honest Man (1939). W.C.Fields and Edgar Bergen rip it up as shady circus folk in a grand old comedy that wouldn't make it past the censors these days. Charlie MacCarthy gives a great performance--if you don't look at Bergen's lips, ditto Mortimer Snerd.

Whitewash (2013) Thomas Hayden Church (available for streaming on netflix)

I enjoyed this Canadian film. I guess I would consider this a black comedy. A man kills a pedestrian with a snowplow and then goes into hiding to try and figure out what to do next.
Sounds familiar . .has that premise occurred before?

Hey Nomik !

You might be thinking about A Simple Plan. I totally loved that movie.

Thanks for the heads up. (And the description. Love black comedies. Won't do wrist-cutters.)

Birdman -- Michael Keaton was so good in this, but I'm not so sure about the film itself. I wouldn't watch it again.

Hey Dana Jean!

I looked it up on IMDb

Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014)

Illustrated upon the progress of his latest Broadway play, a former popular actor's struggle to cope with his current life as a wasted actor is shown.

The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance? Now I'm interested. I like Michael Keaton but am I going to think about making myself a hanging ornament from the nearest tree?

Yes I did!! RDJR was wearing a Mister Softee shirt, plus he was in it. It was an empty theatre except for Danny and I. Since he's fifteen it was a blast. It ended strangely . . . Speaking of which, there were previews for two movies that I want to see: Dr. Strange and Suicide Squad.

I considered this movie (Whitewash) a bit of a black comedy. I'm not so sure others would see it that way. It is a drama but I think when you get past the halfway point, you'll start to see the absurd humor of the situation. This one is a little difficult to put a label on.
