Unfortunately the wife saw that one with her girlfriends while I was out of town, and she liked it was a really well done movie, but it was so depressing there's no way she'd watch it again. So I haven't yet.No Country For Old Men

But I thoroughly enjoy Coen Bros. movies. I'm one of the few I've met who really, really liked Burn After Reading, and I thought it was great.

LOVE that movie!Tucker & Dale vs Evil
Very funny spoof on the "cabin in the woods" horror movies. Good silly fun.
The way my wife described it (No Country), it was reminiscent of A Simple Plan or Unforgiven - slow, spiraling descent into hell.Pretty good flick . . .in a way it reminds me of There Will Be Blood. Enjoyed them both.
For my fave from the brothers, I have to give the nod to The Big Lebowski.I like all the Cohen movies. No Country is a favorite of mine. My most favorite Cohen Brothers movies are Fargo, Miller's Crossing & No Country but they are all good. I haven't seen Inside Llewyn Davis yet but I just rented the blu-ray and plan to see it in the next couple of days.
I watched Body Heat for about the 6th time. I know much of it by heart. My favorite aspect of the movie is the performance by Ted Danson.
It was very well done (ha!). But, imho, Danson steals the show. That was a very hott movie for its time!
Timberlake is good at everything he does. Who would have thought it? I am predicting that he'll have one of those shiny gold statues named Oscar on his mantle someday........[/QUOTE]This is an early 60s period piece that is a week or so in the life of a struggling folk singer. This is an excellent film about a struggling musician without all the usual cliches you see in a struggling musician movie. Llewyn Davis is a complex character and this is an interesting look at the early 60s folk music scene. This is not a comedy at all (it's mostly bleak) but Justin Timberlake lightens things up a bit as one of the folk singers. There is something funny about seeing Justin Timberlake doing folk songs (and he's good at it).
No Country For Old Men
Absolutely one of a kind, I'd call it the best movie I've seen in years but Lone Survivor takes that role. The movie definitely has an acquired taste, a lot of folks didn't even understand it, but it was the type of movie that had a real deep meaning and you really have to think it over and watch it slow and not go into it expecting everything to jump right out at you like most movies. I love it, every second of it. I could watch that one over and over and over again, seriously. Those of you who have seen it and understood it down to a T, maybe you know what I mean. A lot of people didn't understand the ending scene, with the sheriff and the dream, but that scene was beautiful to me and just perfect perfect writing. I love movies that have a deep meaning, a story that doesn't jump out at you, you have to dig a little for it. EPIC in my book.
