We envy you. Always was a favorite of Grandma's and mine. Glad to hear he's a nice guy.
I've only been to one Con, and it was fun but just a little too frenetic and goofy (and crowded) for me. But Kate Mulgrew was one of the big attractions there, and oh my, was she gracious. Charmed my shoes off, sitting in the big audience. Also Jeff Goldblum and the guys who did and were promoting Independence Day (that tells you how long ago THAT was), and I gotta say, although Mr. Goldblum seems to be a one-trick pony, acting-wise, he sure was engaging and excited to interact with the crowd.
Anywayyyyy....
The Healer. Saw it on Netflix. It was kinda fun and quirky, and by the time we hit the end, I thought it was all right, just a little let down. Like they had a good thing going, but then they had to throw in a dusting of Godspell at the end.
The VelociPastor. A pastor who turns into a velociraptor. It's an intentionally bad, campy movie, but it held its own doing so. Elder Son and I watched it while Grandma shook her head and muttered, "Boys." It doesn't even try to redeem itself. It breaks the fourth wall a couple times, explaining that they didn't have the money for the effects that the script called for. At the end, in the Big Fight, the hilariously stupid velociraptor costume makes the 1954 Godzilla one look polished.
Having said that and having enjoyed it, once is enough. Thanks, guys.
