Wow - I wonder how his mother/wife/daughter/granddaughter feel about that statement. Holy crap - the things that fly out of some people's mouths.
I agree Holly. How do those close to him feel after such comments. Rob Ford can't help but continually embarrass himself and his wife and children are probably forced to retreat from the world.

Agreed a stupid thing to say. But why do we only seem to pay attention when republicans say stupid sh*t? How about when just recently Alabama House of Representatives, Alvin Holmes (D), explained why he so dislikes Clarence Thomas: because "he’s married to a white woman." Bet you haven’t even heard about that.

And "Americans Against The Tea Party." What exactly are they against? Asinine website if I ever saw one.

Stupid definitely swings both directions.

The most "Asinine website" about the most ASININE PARTY! Seems fair to me.

Terry, I sort of see what Di O'Bolic is talking about, though. I have no love for extremists or reactionaries of any stripe, and that definitely includes the Tea Party, but this website is a morass of extremist, biased non-reporting, no different from that which they claim to oppose. No reasoned research. Just more emotional white noise. If you want to appeal to someone who has a real question (and no agenda), that's no way to persuade them.

Please tell me what in the core principles of the Tea Party, and not what the biased media and hateful ignorant wrongly portrays, is so asinine?
I don't have a problem with what the Tea Party believes, personally. BUT, my dad is a Tea Party member and what I have a problem with is all of the hateful propaganda that comes from them. But I don't really like hateful propaganda from anyone.

But here is an example of why I don't like the Tea Party:

My dad went to some shindig that was TP (ha, like toilet paper!) sponsored and they talked over and over again about how much better they were than those "disgusting liberals" (a direct quote), because their function was clean and had no litter. They compared that to the "savagery" of what the "disgusting liberals" did in the Occupy movement.

When I mentioned that the TP event was in a hotel ballroom, had about 250 people, and had hotel employees constantly cleaning up after them, my dad's response was, "Well, still." Well still WHAT you ask? Yeah. No response.

I dunno, I can think of lots of stupid things that prominent Dems have said. When Bubba was in the limelight hardly a day went by without him saying something stupid.

Bill Clinton: "I did not inhale." "I did not have sexual relations with that woman", etc.

But to your point, I do think the media relishes it more when a wholesome, squeaky-clean type (often a conservative, often religious, sometimes Republican) has a lapse in judgment (or shows their true colors?)

Taking all politics aside, look at the Tiger Woods scandal. It's probably safe to say that Tiger Woods is not the only member of the PGA who has cheated on his wife. Are all the guys in the NBA, NFL, and MLB 100% faithful to their wives? Probably not. But would it be news if they did? Tiger Woods had this wholesome image, so that was the scandal. If slob-golfer John Daly had an affair no one would be shocked.

I would. Because he's slob golfer John Daly.

And for the record, he is working on his addictions. I felt bad for him when he was out on the course having the DTs.

I was going to take this website crap a bit farther but decided it just isn't important in my life. All political websites are BS. If you take credence in anything they say it's obvious you don't have a life. May I suggest you read a good book instead.
