Steve asked me to pass along that he saw a screening of IT today and wanted to let everybody know that they should stop worrying about it as the producers have done a wonderful job with the production.

I'm getting more and more stoked for this one to come out, the more I hear about it! 
I am glad he said that, but I want to reserve judgement (and temper my expectations) until I see the film myself. He did endorse A Good Marriage and Cell, after all.

Don't want to sound rude, but Steve also said that Dreamcatcher was a good movie (DVD extras), so... it's not that I don't trust his taste - otherwise I wouldn't read him in the first place - but from what I remember his mother used to say that if he was a woman, he would be pregnant all the time. I just don't think he would be capable of crushing any filmmakers' heart - unless they butchered his work and released like it was their own idea [Kubrick; The Lawnmower Man...]. However, from the stuff that Andy has released so far, it's obvious he's putting his whole heart into this, so I'll welcome IT with open arms, which is more than what many IT fans are willing to do. Cheers.
