I know, I just think it’s dumb to analyze something as satirical as that term. By “woke” I mean movies that spend so much time shoving the message up and down your throat that they forget to write in an actually interesting plot.
Yes, I find They Live as not nescsarilly a terrible film but certainly not Carpenter’s best
I agree not his best. That title is a close race between The Thing and Halloween
The Thing is my favorite horror movie, I can definetly agree there.

I'm with you, Frank. We went to see it in IMAX and, while the visuals were lovely, I found the plot derivative and cliched. I'd love to visit the area at Walt Disney World, though. The ride is quite nice from video I've seen. Better than the movie.
I didn't knew what to expect from this Movie, i just heared about the amazing Visuals and yes, the visuals are awesome....but that's it.
The Story, Plot..."We have to occupy this Planet because we need their resources"...Wow...that's new Folks *yawn*
Watch Star Trek Insurrection instead.
Why the 1982 John Carpenter version of course! I’ve never seen the 50’s or 2011 one.
You absolutely have to check the 50s version. Then again, I’m like SK and grew up with them.
Maybe some other time, I’m more for amazing practical effects body horror than the one with the more human looking alien.
I saw the old one once. It's good. I refuse to see the 2011 remake. Not after seeing Carpenter's version. One of the best horror movies EVER!
I haven’t seen the 2011 one either. But that’s a prequel and not a remake / reboot.
Regardless it still doesn’t look that great. CGI will never replace the magic of practical effects.
I watched the 2011 version of The Thing recently, having kind of avoided it due to being such a fan of the 1982 version. I wasn't expecting much, in fact I was sceptical and almost not wanting to enjoy it going in, but it stands up and ties in surprisingly well.
I've also seen the 50s one; it wasn't bad despite the 'man in a rubber costume' alien design and I was rather taken by the female lead

Not missing much on the 2011 remake Tery. I went to the theater to see it. Carpenter's version is just about my favorite horror movie of all time. The remake was very disappointing. Special effects were pretty cool, but they really whiffed on the paranoia factor which is what drove the Carpenter version so well.

I never could get into Moulin Rouge. I saw the first scene and turned it off. Some of my friends really liked it.
I don't like Ocean's 11 and its related movies. That whole criminal thing just seems wrong to me.
I know I watch Sons of Anarchy, but they're bikers who just happen to deal guns. They don't rob banks or casinos.
