Okay. I have been to A&W, and I will say that an A&W chili dog accompanied with a root beer float is food of the frickin' gods. I don't eat that stuff anymore because of one thing called a Heart Attack and another thing called a Weight Issue, but the taste memory rolls around in my mouth still.

I'm no fast food maven. I don't eat at Micky's, the red-haired girl's place, the creepy royalty guy's place, the childhood toy burger place, and so on. It's just not all that good, not to me.

But a chili dog and root beer float at A&W? Wheel me by there before you take me to get put down.
Thank you, that just confirms it. I have to go! We don't do the fast food thing either, so when we do, it better be special!

Mustard and Ketchup on my dog most of the time. Other times sauerkraut and mustard or straight with chili. When in a crazy mood I may stop at some place and get me a Chicago dog.

In recent years when grilling, I’ve also been throwing bratwurst on the grill in addition to the dogs, burgers and marinated chicken. I serve them up on a club roll with spicy mustard and onions fried in butter. Bratwurst is kinda like a hot dog taken to the next level, right? :)

You forgot the flour tortillas and ranchera sauce.

Hmmm this is a tricky one. I would never mix mustard and ketchup.

I think with an American style hotdog sausage it would have to be Ketchup.

However, with a bitish sausage fried or cooked in the oven so that you get the slightly sweet slightly carbonised crusty bits on it, I would always have said in the past it has to be H.P. Brown Sauce. However my tastes have changed and it would now be hot English (preferably Colemans) Mustard.

I chose the "design your dog" option

Up here in Canada we have A&W - they have the Whistle Dog which is a bacon wrapped wiener with cheese stuffed inside - I know - a heart attack on a plate!

But tasty when you're in the mood :tongue-new:

Nearly my favourite ever thing. A plain pork sausage wrapped in bacon (no cheese though), especially served at Christmas with the turkey. Normally called in the UK "Pigs in Blankets." Another favourite is prunes wrapped in bacon or Devils on Horseback. Hmmmmm I'm starving now.
